'Werqin' Girl' Music Video by Shangela Laquifa

Shangela is one of my all-time favorite contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race mainly because of her lovely personality and she always knows how to crack a joke. She's also one of those people who is "what you see is what you get." She's real, and that's why she's such a great person. This morning, on the day that the Drag Race Cruise is ready to set sail, Shangela treated us with her very first music video for her second single 'Wergin' Girl'. To begin with, Shangela knows how to make great music, and this one is no different. It's so catchy you'll be singing it for days after only hearing it once. The video, I must say, is one of the best I've ever seen from the Queens. It kind of reminded me of a Britney video because of all the flawless choreography! The plot is that Laquifa (Shangela's alter ego) sees an ad for Abby Lee Miller's dance company so she decides to audition. Abby from Dance Moms makes a wonderful cameo that elevates the video to new heights. Shangela's preppin' with her girls (which includes the All Stars contestant Yara Sofia), and then heads off to the audition which is full of enough choreography to last for days. I'm actually surprised at how well Shangela can dance. We then get taken back to reality where DJ Pierce (Shangela out-of-drag) is dancing in front of Abby who tells him to stop and leave the building. The video ends in one more big dance number that will leave you gagging, and then to cap it all off Jennifer Lewis makes a cameo. Shangela even dedicates the video to the late Sahara Davenport. It was a fantastic video, and I'm so proud of Shangela to have made such a great piece of work.

Also, Shangela was on this week's episode of Glee as she was brought to Kurt and Rachel's Thanksgiving dinner by Sarah Jessica Parker's character. They all had a fabulous dance party with 'Let's Have a KiKi'.
